Building on a foundation of psychodynamic psychotherapy, Dr. Washam draws in other theoretical and treatment orientations. He is committed to providing psychotherapy that is sensitive not only to relational and emotional issues, but to spiritual and ethical issues as well.

As such, the primary goal is to promote healing and wholeness and to enhance one's relationship to self and others. Dr. Washam's practice of adolescent and adult psychotherapy is ecclesiastically endorsed by The Episcopal Diocese of Lexington as a specialized ministry.
